RRSPs & Registered Plans

Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)

RRSP's are a good way to save, get immediate tax savings, buy or build your first home or fund full-time education or training for you or your spouse.

Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)

Save for post-secondary education. Your money grows tax free and is available for your children and grandchildren's education. By making regular contributions to an RESP, income earned in a child's RESP will accumulate and compound on a tax-deferred basis until withdrawn.

Under the Canadian Education Savings Grant, the federal government will contribute 20% of the amount contributed by the subscriber each year to a maximum of $500 per year. Some families, based on income, may qualify for a higher percentage.

Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF)

We can help you get all the information needed about making important decisions about converting your RRSP's to RRIF's. EKC and our financial planning department will be happy to answer any questions, discuss the options available to you and help you implement any changes. Call us today.
